Who We Are


Vista Vocational Resources Center Inc. has had roots in the San Antonio Vocational Rehabilitation industry since 1989 and has developed throughout the years to a full-service Community Rehabilitation Provider with demonstrated success in Employment Services including a unique niche in the delivery of services to job seekers who are Blind, Deaf and Deaf-Blind.


Vista Vocational Resources Center, Inc. continues to operate as a small, family-owned and operated corporation; Vista Vocational Resources Center Inc. is also a Hispanic, Woman-owned business.


Established by a person with disabilities, the company is dedicated to the respectful and impactful service to job seekers with disabilities. Thus, the organization has adopted the following mission statement: Vista Vocational Resources Center provides persons with disabilities and injured workers an innovative perspective in vocational rehabilitation. The corporation maintains innovative services through constantly and consistently matching the needs of job seekers to current labor market demands. This is done through ongoing education and awareness of assistive technology, changes in employment law and also through aggressive networking which provides a comprehensive understanding of local employer’s needs.


The corporation boasts many accomplishments over the years. Most recently having been recognized as The State of Texas Commission for the Blind Services, 2013 Business of the Year for outstanding business practices in employing people who are in blind and visually impaired. In 2014, Vista was recognized by The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services for our Successful Closure Rate, ranking as one of the top 3 Job Placement Providers in San Antonio. Additionally, recent contract amendments have enhanced services to include services for the Deaf. Vista is proud to now be serving the Deaf community in San Antonio, Austin and surrounding counties. Another point of pride is that Vista has long been known to actively recruit, hire and promote employees with disabilities.


The Center is housed in a fully accessible building and office, recently upgraded to include automatic door openers, accessible restrooms and elevators as well as ramps from the sidewalk to the building entrances, that is located directly near public transportation. The office includes a fully-equipped evaluation room, four job placement offices and a job readiness training classroom. With a Deaf Support Specialists available, Vista offers communication via two Video Phone lines and a Deaf and Blind friendly reception area. The facility offers a break room that our job readiness students and evaluation clients utilize during breaks from day-long training sessions. This includes a refrigerator and microwave as well as vending machines. There is also ample Handicapped Reserved parking space and a large lot available. 

Vista Vocational Resources Center Inc. has experience servicing job seekers with moderate to several physical, emotional, substance abuse and cognitive disabilities. Additionally, Vista services Veterans with disabilities, from all branches of service and eras of time served.
