Vocational Evaluations

Vocational Evaluations are a tool that can be used to assist individuals in identifying transferable skills, tolerance to work demands, academic levels, aptitudes, functional abilities, and interests through extensive testing and work samples that simulate work demands.

Certified Testing Personnel

Experienced and carefully selected members of the staff will administer tests/ work samples. The vocational evaluator will supervise, assist and determine the choice of tests to match each individual case. Our staff is able to provide evaluations in English, Spanish and American Sign Language.

During our Evaluations

Data is gathered and analyzed by our Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) that will make concise recommendations in an easy read format. Information gathering and utilizing up to date labor information and computerized Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) will assist the client and counselor in identifying vocational objectives that are attainable.

Evaluations we offer

Five Day Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation- The evaluation is completed in five days with 7.5 hours of testing performed per day. The testing simulates a full time work schedule making this evaluation appropriate for post workers compensations cases and for clients living out of the San Antonio Metropolitan area.

Vocational Assessments

Vocational Assessments can be used to gather pertinent and specific information that can be used to answer specific questions about a client’s ability to function within certain vocational objectives or areas.

Assessments we offer

We offer three to five day evaluations. During our assessments vocational exploration is performed based on the client’s abilities. Our four day assessments offer the same as our 3-day with an additional day for determination of the feasibility for training potential with an on-the-job training situation or short-term training. Our five day work assessments offer an additional day for answers to specific vocational questions by the counselor related the client’s current abilities.
